PALAWAN

When I was in 4th year high school, I decided not to attend our 4th year high school student seminar in Palawan for the main reason that I was now looking forward for college life. It was one of the biggest regret when I was in high school. Since then I have not been to Palawan. But last March 2021, it changed. This is my first time and hopefully not the last to go to Palawan. At the same time, Palawan is my top Philippine destination for places that I have not been to. My dream to go to Palawan has been achieved. I am with my cousin, Karlo, on this business with pleasure trip.

Day 1: Our first day in Palawan was spent in San Vicente, which is a developing island in Palawan. Our first day was spent on this beautiful island which is still less developed compare to El Nido and Coron but has the potential to become of the most beautiful island in the world.

While my cousin is busy doing business in San Vicente, I was busy swimming on the beach and enjoying the white sand of San Vicente. We stayed on a pretty good resort of Lazuli.

Day 2: From San Vicente, we transferred to another barangay in San Vicente which is called Port Barton. It is more of a relaxing day for us. We spent dinner in a popular restaurant in Port Barton.

Day 3:

From Port Barton, we transferred to Puerto Princesa, which is the capital city of Palawan. We stayed in a hotel called Aziza Paradise Hotel. By the way, I also had the opportunity to eat lobster for the first time. Feeling rich. Pa-lobster lobster pa. Hahaha!

Day 4: This is the best day of our stay in Palawan. We went to the Puerto Princesa Underground River which is ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF NATURE. I am actually STARSTRUCK. Before I just see this on TV. Now, I am actually here. Being inside on the cave riding a boat is quite scary most especially if you are claustrophobic. But I decided to face my fears and live the dream.

In general, my trip to Palawan is satisfying. This is my first time to travel with my cousin, Karlo, on an airplane. The trip to Palawan happens on the right time. Palawan is my best escape to be able to overcome my loneliness/sadness/heartbreak.

Lessons that I have learned from Palawan is to face your fears and pray to God that everything will be alright.

Mark 16:15

"And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."
